Life is strange... Life is Good...!!!

Life is strange. We are happy. We are sad. We go through a broad range of emotions. Things go right. Things go wrong. Things go right. Sometimes they go left, get very lost, turn around and go back the way they came, start over and go right. If only life were easier to understand and prepare for. But then where’d the fun of life be? Like “they” say : “variety is the spice of life”! We are born. We live. We love. We die. More important than being born and dying is the Living and Loving. I was born. I will die. I don’t care if it’s tomorrow. Why? I was born. I will die. I have Lived, am Living and until I die, will keep Living. I have Loved, still Love and will always Love. Even beyond death. I know not what lies beyond death, but I do know that those who have known me, and even those who haven’t, will always be Loved by me. Always... Life is strange... Life is Good...!!! -------------------------- Indu Kedlaya

Is It All In The Mind???

Do you believe in ghosts or evil spirits? If no, then ask yourself if you are willing to stay alone in a house supposedly haunted for an entire night. I have always wondered about the horror stories people tell us based on their personal experiences or who claim to have seen spirits, of whether what they are saying is true or just fictitious ideas from their imagination? I have never experienced any of these scary incidents in my life thankfully so I believe that a person’s mind is so incredibly powerful that when he/she is scared, anxious or tensed, their mind has the ability to create images or sounds. But, still I would not stay in that house because of the simple reason that just because I haven’t experienced these things does not mean they don’t exist, so why take a risk. Some people say that they harm us or possess our body if we are not strong enough mentally or if our conscience is not clean. Another school of thought is that if you believe in it strongly, you will encoun...

Friends...!!!

Amazing how somethings just starts with a smile and turns into one long and everlasting relationships like friendship and ofcourse love too. Friendship is one of a kind relationship. You know why? You get to experience every kind of emotions anger, joy, security and so many more. Everyone needs a friend but I need lots of friends. Among all the relations that exist in the world, friendship is one I cherish the most. To me my friends are like my world. They are my inspiration, philosophers, initiators of my dreams and the perfect reason to be alive. My friends not only at my school but my college too have always been there for me. They made sure I always had a smile on my face whether by craking pj's,hugging me, tickling me or just teasing me they always did it. Also encouraging my writing skills ( even though first few were lame) and my creative abilities. My friends have always given me the courage to face life and I really thank them for this. When I am surrounded by the...

Stop... Look... Go...!!!

Greetings Readers, Stop, Look, Go... these three words... if translated into colors are Stop = Red, Look, = Yellow, and Go = Green and yes you have guessed it right... i got this inspiration from a traffic light... before we go further into my message in this note... let us look at the purpose of the traffic light... every ordinary human being would comment that the traffic light controls traffic... we know this... because we were taught since our school years at kindergarten or nursery level... where is a traffic light located?? it is usually located at an intersection or a crossroad... so that traffic from one side of road can move freely to the other side of the road... without causing trouble for the other people... now in certain situations, when the traffic light is not functioning, however, accidents may happen.. and these accidents could cause injury to many people... another purpose of the traffic light is that... while we are stopping at one, we have the op...

Missing My Days!!!

When the school reopened in June, And we settled in our new desks and benches!  When we queued up in book depot, And got our new books and notes!  When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers...  We learnt writing with slates and pencils, and progressed To fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips!  When we began drawing with crayons and evolved to Color pencils and finally sketch pens!  When we started calculating first with tables and then with Clarke's tables and advanced to Calculators and computers!  When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms Drenched in sweat! When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors, Playgrounds, under the trees and even in cycle sheds!  When all the colors in the world, Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays! When a single P.T period in the week's TimeTable was awaited more ...

For those who love Sachin "Ramesh" Tendulkar!!!

Q uotes :- "Nothing bad can happen to us if we're on a plane in India with Sachin Tendulkar on it."  - Hashim Amla, the South African batsman, reassures himself as he boards a flight.  "Sometimes you get so engrossed in watching batsmen like Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar that you lose focus on your job."  - Yaseer Hameed in pakistani newspaper.  "To Sachin, the man we all want to be"- Andrew Symonds wrote on an aussie t-shirt he autographed specially for Sachin. “Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don't know, something beyond scientific measure. Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us, even those who are gifted enough to play alongside him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their TV sets and switch off their lives."  - BBC on Sachin  "Tuzhe pata hai tune kiska catch chhoda hai?"  - Wasim...

Dear Mr.Shiv Sainik (An Email I Received)

This is what I found in my email inbox today.. what do you make of it? 21st Feb 2010. Dear Mr Shiv Sainik, I trust you have read Rajdeep Sardesai’s open letter to Mr Uddhav Thakeray doing the rounds on the internet. Frankly, for two reasons I won’t be surprised if you haven’t. One, it is in English. And two, it is extremely well-written and very thought–provoking. If you haven’t read it I suggest you ask your children to translate it for you. Like the offspring of most Shiv Sainiks I presume yours too are studying in the most elitist of convent schools. But first, let me introduce myself. I am just a Stupid Common Man. Have you seen the film *‘A Wednesday’*? You must, even though it is in Hindi. Nasiruddin Shah’s soliloquy at the end of the film where he spits out his pent-up anger against the system and all politicians will make your hair stand on end. He calls himself just a Stupid Common Man. That’s what I am too, as are the faceless thousands and thousands of us in this city. ...
